In 2011, she released the album Manuscrito (Manuscript), an album containing her own versions of musical hits she composed, but previously sung by other artists: “No me doy por vencido”, of Fonsi, “Ni Rosas Ni Juguetes”, of Paulina Rubio, etc.
She was also named ASCAP´s “Latina Songwriter of the Year“ in 2012 and 2015 and won the SESAC Latina Award in 2009 for her song; “Aquí estoy yo”, which was performed by co-author Luis Fonsi along with David Bisbal, Aleks Syntek and Noel Schajris. “Aquí estoy yo” swept the charts in Latin America and Spain, and spent 35 weeks (of which 19 were consecutive) at the top of the Billboard chart in the U.S. for which it was named “Song of the Decade“ by Billboard Magazine.
Claudia began her professional career when she was between 19 and 20. The singer-songwriter joined Warner Music at the age of 22 and released her first two albums through them. The first, “Claudia Brant” released in 1991. It was in the year 1991 that she was awarded the Festival OTI in Mexico with the hit song “?Donde estas ahora?” (‘Where do you stand now? )”. in 1995. Brant was awarded in the Villa del Mar festival. In 1996, she recorded “Tu marca en el alma” together in collaboration with Warner Music. Brant moved to Los Angeles in 1998. Between 2006 and 2007, she was working closely with regional Mexican music gurus. in 2008 Claudia as well as Luis Fonsi (with whom she’s worked since 2005) wrote the song “No me doy for Vencido” that he recorded. The song was ranked #1 on the United States’ Latin charts, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Spain, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and most of Central and South America. “No me doy por vencido” was chosen by Billboard Magazine as the “Song of the Decade” after it occupied the top spot at the top of the Latin Charts for 19 consecutive weeks, which was a record for the time.
Claudia was the winner of her first prize at the OTI Festival in 1991 and the Festival of Vina del Mar in 1994 and 1995, with her theme “Como ayer”, as author and interpreter. Claudia was the first person from Argentina to be awarded the prize. She sung both songs. Brant was named the Songwriter of the Year of Latina SESAC three times in United States, between 2007-2009. In her professional profession, Claudia Brant has received seven Latin Grammy nominations as a producer, songwriter and artist. Brant was nominated as Producing of the Year in the Latin Grammy Awards of 2004.
